Community Celebrates 80th Anniversary

Community celebrated its 80th anniversary and customer appreciation days on Friday and Saturday, October 18 - 19, 2025. Customers and guests enjoyed cake and refreshments, won prizes, and entered a chance to win in a raffle.

In celebration of the bank’s milestone year, raffle participants entered a chance to win one of 80 prizes. Other giveaways included umbrellas, mugs, and tote bags with the bank's logo.

“We think ‘Customer Appreciation Days’ are a good opportunity to thank our loyal customers and meet more local residents,” said Dane Cleven, Community’s president, CEO, and chairman. “We hope to see many people drop in and enjoy a short visit.”

The bank first opened in 1944 in a storefront just north of Belmont Avenue. The bank moved to its current location on the corner in 1953.

The bank was founded on October 21, 1944 by the bank’s first president, Peter Cleven. Much of our success over the past half century is a result of our commitment to our founder Peter Cleven's number one priority: "The safety and protection of our members' funds is always our most important consideration."

The bank thanks all who came to celebrate its anniversary over the past week. Many of the bank's dedicated staff also participated in the celebration, contributing to the anniversary's success.
